Morning Glory French Toast


French Toast

8 slices “day old” bread (thick sliced if possible)

8 well-beaten eggs

½ cup milk or cream

1 or 2 tsp. cinnamon

Butter (soft) or Margarine


Spread butter on one side of bread and soak in the egg mixture. Soak in the egg mixture. If bread is really stale you can soak it overnight. Heat a pan or griddle to medium/high heat. A sprinkle of water should “dance” on the surface when ready. Brown buttered side- flip over and repeat. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.


*Makes 4 servings.
